Does anybody have a replacement for the MP Jazz 5er?
Somebody changed those in my recently acquired 5er for EMGs Soapbars but they're not a good fit - there's a horrendous gap all the way round.

I got excited by a response to this thread, then confused.... What does this have to do with WRHB's? I don't know that there are any 5 string WRHB options....
In WRHB news. Stonewall is in Dover NH and I have been contemplating maybe writing to the owner and seeing if he would entertain me coming over to evaluate some of the options he has. I'd like to hear the differences between the traditional and Modern ones he makes.
The current one I have is too polite. It sounds great, but doesn't sound nasty.
I recently bought a fender pawn shop mustang bass. Have to say at first glance it wasn’t a very usable sound it was wired in series and didn’t have a lot of clarity. I learned quicker about putting it in parallel this helped so much and made the bass more usable in a rock and all around type sound. The pickup sounds very hollow and needed a lot of mids to really make it cut through the mix being a hx stomp user that was a easy fix. On a real amp (svt) I can get that easily. I gotta say now that I have it dialed in I’m very happy on what I’m getting it gives me a almost p type sound with the grind of a stingray it’s very original sounding and this is what I’ve been searching for for years. I was inspired by old 80’s-90’s punk bands that just used what ever they could get and make a usable sound out of it. This doesn’t disappoint and with more time I can see myself dialing it in even better and may take over my main bass (p bass) the things I did to make it better on my end.
1. Wire in parallel
2. Changed the .5 cap to .47 (what I’m used to and like)
3. Put Ernie ball 110-55 strings (what I like)
4. Used a simple eq block at 1.5k and raised the mids to 10.0
5. Kept the amp settings the same but raised the treble.5%
This thing is a rock machine!
Things I’ll be doing soon.
1. Hipshot tuners (hate the mex ones)
2. Series/parallel switch in reverse
I’m taking this as the honey moon phase so in 6 months if this is a main player. I’ll have to buy another or make one for a back up.

Hey man, I just got two Modern Player WR pickups but no screws or contouring plastics. Did you make these?
