Widescreen and Computers Philosophy

I've been using windows since 2.0. Never upgrade until the first service pack is out. Let other people do the testing.

I disagree, but, that's because I've run Vista and 7 beta's now :). I don't mind, some one has to do it to help, and I get to see all the goodies before everyone else.

Like I said, I'm on 7 now, and have been since it was beta. Not looking back -at all-.

Because of this thread I tried the task bar on the left side and both side and bottom with auto hide on or off. Never even considered before. :)

Didn't like it, and went back to the bottom with auto hide disabled. I'm just more accustom to the task bar being at the bottom. With auto hide enabled I kept looking for the clock. :p

Anyone feel uneasy with monitors upwards of 21-22" ?

My brother uses a 24" widescreen and I'm constantly turning my head left and right to work on it.

Nope. I *love* them. Can do so much more with them than I ever could with smaller monitors. Dual, large monitors for the win :).

Edit: if you literally have to turn your head left to right much, you're probably sitting too close. Even with dual 22s, I don't have to turn my head hardly at all to flip from one monitor to the other.

I see. Maybe I have this impression because I work on websites on the pixel scale.

For illustrating, I'd totally use another larger monitor.

With large screens I tend to run more than one window in the front.

Exactly. Just move your eyes, not your head.
