wild hair

i was just thinking about getting one of those new blackheart 5 watt heads and running a 2x10 bass cab to practice at home with. I know its not good to play bass through a guitar amp but for some reason it sound like it would work.what do you think???

Nope! Won't blow up the amp. :p

I use a Fender Champion 600 for a quiet practice amp at home, and its an 8" combo amp (5 watt tube amp). I can disconnect my speaker and connect the amp to my Ashdown Mag 2x10 cab.

5 watts? you'll blow that out really quick. I recently blew out a 15 watt guitar combo just playing quietly in my room. Bad idea.

you CANNOT blow an amp by running bass through it!!! Period! The speakers can blow... but I've used guitar combos for quiet bass practice with no issues.

Anyway, I've been looking at the Blackheart stuff to plug into my Bagend D12 for recording.
