just put a new set of hi beams on. went to a show. things got carried away from the start. we always bring a good crowd with us especially at this venue. my bass was covered in whip cream and jack daniels. the fretboard is a mess, everything is sticky. i wish i could tell yall what went on but no way would they allow it here. anyway is there saving these strings or are they messed up for good. did i mention they are brand fire new. one show.

My typical method for cleaning strings (even old ones to make them sound new) is to soak them in denatured alcohol for 24-48 hours. Works amazingly well.

Good grief, mixing whip cream and jack daniels together. Well, maybe jack daniels was accidental spill on. Lol. Anyway, best of luck getting bass and strings cleaned up. Alcohol sounds best to me or other string cleaners from guitar stores. Pics. Got any pics? Postable ones that is. lol.
