will i get hell for this? (none bass related)

i own a ebay store that is doing quite well, today i received a very insulting email from a guy assuming that my products where not quality products (not related to bass at all)

now , i.m a very nice person , honnest and fair..but i have a tendency to.....how can i say this..hummm ..let say i dont enjoy getting dumped on for no reason...

So i replied....god did i ever replied..... it all went out , i mean i was brutal as brutal can be ,:rollno: .. i litaraly dumped hell on to that guy , 39 years of frustration in one single reply..

my question is...can i get any comebacks from Ebay about my actions? i have 100% positive feedbacks.:hmm:

Unless you actually threatened him in some way, Ebay can't and won't do anything to you. Unless the other guy actually won one of your auctions, he can't do anything through Ebay to you. However, if he saves that email and holds a grudge, and if he happens to encounter you on this or any other forum, he can post that email and maybe turn people against you.

Sometimes it's even "right" that things like that happen--there is one guy out there who is an insanely aggressive hothead and a-hole, who has spat his bile in various places on the web... and when he came here on TB and said some rough stuff, people Googled him and found all that violent and mean-spirited crap he had said elsewhere, and posted it here... that guy went ballistic, said some more hot-headed stuff to TB'ers, and got himself banned.

He sells basses on Ebay sometimes. Any time somebody innocently asks here about his auction or goods, we let it be known what a lousy person that guy is.

IOW, these things can come back to bite you.

this guy came out of the blue , never seem him before...he was asking a question about a latex catsuit, started to crap on me because my prices are the lowest.. anyway he sent my reply to ebay......only time will tell i guess.

oh well..

i found out who he was (god i love the internet...) he's a Hollywood bigshot movie producer..i wrote him back , called by is real name , gave im all his personnal infos like date of birth , wife's name and so on....i listed all the communities he's part off attached all of the pictures he pulished online , told him all of the big names stars he was currently working with...

so...i dont think i'll ear from ebay.

my personal opinion...you have a right to be pi$$ed off, but doing the last thing was kind of a douchebag move. If I had recieved an email like that, I would have taken it as a veiled threat eventhough nothing was said. If I took it that way and saw my wifes name in it....yeah, not good for you.

Uhh...next time you might not want to go overboard. You say it was out of the blue, but I would understand your conduct more fully if it was a long, drawn-out incident. Sounds like you went on a pretty crazy vendetta over nothing. You seriously looked up the guy's life story because he randomly called out your products one day?

i have to admit, i went overboard on this, dont get me wrong , i like when ppl ask me for detail of my products , i am always happy to reply.

but when i get : you are selling crap because the prices are too low...are you ripping ppl off?!!!

now that gets me...a little...pissed.

anyway this is the rply i sent him the first time :

1-i rewrote this message 5 times trying to be as polite as possible, i took a few deep breaths....and ..came to this conclusion:....f**k this.

who the F**K do you think you are??? you think you get demask or polymorphe at that price? are you an idiot or what?..these are made by a very good friend of mine (in China) and you have the balls to insult her (and me) without even seeing the product!??...are you f***ing insane? do you see any negative feedbacks on my part??? no. i fully guarantee the quality of our products, it is the best coming out of China.

I dont know what crowled up your a** friend , but you better get it out

go cry somewhere else and dont freakin waste my time anymore,..... buddy.

i guess, if you have a question ask me like a normal person would. i will reply like a normal person

but lesson learned. i will go for a walk and reflect on my reply the next time something like this happens..

I would put the guy on my "blocked" list immediately. Don't even run the risk of engaging in a transaction with him. He will have his revenge.

i have to say this...this is REALLY funny it happend about a year ago

one day i contacted Ken Smith for some pickups, he replied expaining the types and the prices. i was really happy , everything went smooth,!!

i replied to him asking him for is opinion on a type of wood.... then all hell broke loose...loll he was pissed, he said that he wasnt put on this earth to answer stupid questions and he had to charge me (money) for his opinion...

now ...yes...of course i expolded

we sent eachother about 8 emails back and forth insulting eachother like there was no tomorrow...

it was really funny actualy...loll i still got the emails.

i contacted George at FBass (nicest dude on the planet) an we hit it off greate! when ever i have questions he guides me. he's a class act.

i just had to say it. i still laugh about it.

This is not the first time I've read that Ken Smith is a jerk. I would not buy a bass from him.

Myself, I prefer to be extremely nice to somebody like that.

There's really nothing to be gained by getting into a pissing match with some idiot. Plenty that can be lost, though. Always assume that anything you write online will eventually find its way to somebody who you'd rather not have see it.
