Will it work?

I've been searching for bass amp options, and I've so far settled on these.
Head: Orange Terror Bass 500
Cab: Aguilar DB 112
Are these good choices? Are they even compatible?

No reason they won't, listen to the cab though. The TB500 can blow the cab and you are only pushing one 12" speaker. It will be loud but don't go for crazy loud.

I would find an 8 Ohm 212. That would give you a rig that will kill, and you can still expand with a second 212 down the road when/if you need it.

Yes, it'll work, but a single 12 is not a very big rig, and the limitations on volume will be the single 12. 2 12's would open it up quite a bit, and an 8 ohm 212 would leave room for a 2nd 8 ohm 212, if you want serious volume.

212 yes, 115 no unless you are spending big funds for a boutique one.
