For some reason I can't start a new thread, so I'll tack this on here. I was doing my after gig-dig through my music room tonight, and I came across the first two Charles Blenzig albums with Will Lee, the second one 'Say What You Mean' was produced by Uncle Will. They both also have Mike Stern tearing it up. Say What also has the great Michael Brecker and Dennis Chambers. If you dig hearing Will's bass way up in the mix, check these two out, they can probably be found cheap in used record stores these days.

On Saturday he's with the Hirum Bullock Band
And on Sunday, he's with the Jaco Big Band

He did some tasty work with Bob James, and for all of you neosoul/R&B fans check out "Higher" on D'Angelo's Brown Sugar album. Will is a bad, bad man - and the reason I watch Letterman from time to time. I totally agree about that little extra something in his pocket... his groove is super tight and uniquely his own, in my opinion.

If not already mentioned the Brecker Bros. Album "Back to Back" he also does killin vocals on this Album but the Bass work is sick a huge influence for me
