Will my Mac work for a home studio?

So I have a question! Sorry to hijack 43%... but I'm in the same boat as you. Which program is considered to be easier to use? Obviously this is asking for your opinions. I'm no professional but I play bass and guitar and I have a dual G5. Sooo as far as ease of use for drums and such...mastering, track management... what would your opinions be? Protools or Cubase? I want good quality recordings and post production.... but I don't want to finally get the hang of it three revs later... ya know?

Pro Tools is as simple as it gets, everything is in one window.Second best for me is Digital Performer also killer program with more Midi options. Actually Pro Tools borrowed some Midi features from DP, and DP I think borrowed some Audio Features from PT, so in the future these two will be very close. When I made switched from DP to PT, it was a walk in the park for me, but then again I played with just about every program out there. You're on G5, so it's an easy choice - Digi 002R / PT combo and start practicing. Used 002R's go for about $750 on Ebay.

Thanks Rubo! I don;t have the money for new but used is a little bit better. I also have a Boss br-864 that will help in the money dept once I sell it.
