This type of self-promotion has always bothered me. If you had said, "Hey guys, check out this bass solo I entered in a competition." and provided a link I'd check it out. sorry my syntax is an issue for you. however i tried it your way already and it didn't really help. I just thought that maybe a few bass players around here might actually like decent bass playing.

I voted for Khan. Mostly for the fact that I'm sure all the big vote-getters did something similar to what you did, which was to solicit votes. The folks who had very little votes (Khan had 11) probably didn't solicit votes (or have very few friends), so I figured I'd give them all a listen. Of course, I didn't get through them all, but I chose Khan's because he had the fewest on the site altogether.
