Winter Build Jazz Project

Inspiring! I will probably end up with a craptastic bass built in similar fashion at some point, because like you said, it would be an invaluable learning experience. This kind of stuff are definite keepers, my slide guitar thats built out of a 2x4 and a piezo electric buzzer is the sorriest excuse for an instrument I've ever seen... can't see myself getting rid of it for a while.
Unlike me though, this bass is turning out REALLY nice! Love the decals!

there is only one phrase in my entire vocabulary as a Canadian that can sufficiently explain the totality of my awe at this bass:
beauty, eh?

Thanks for the above compliments! eh?
Gonna play it again tonight!

I had a dream(really) the other night....I am going to build a wanna be, semi hollow, not exact replica of a ric 4005.

I've always wanted one.....they cost way too much! Even the clones cost way much, if you can find one.

Any way, back to the Prison Bass, I have to weight it some how......it's SCARY light!

Happy Monday.

looks pretty nice!

Could we get some sound samples?

Start messing of buying one...
Thanks, I use it for knock around bass, it does not replace my better basses.

I'm sorry, I don't do the audio sound clip thing. It sounds alot like a bass:hiding:
The MM PU sound real nice with a full bass tone and lots of punch. The neck PU is a little weak, but with a decent amp, you can eq it fine. I never did use the J neck PU.

It was a fun project and I would do it again:D, but, once again it doesn't replace my Warkwick, Schector/Fender or Rickenbacker.
