Yes. Actually, I ended up changing the pickup as the Delano did not pick up full volume from the A string. Funny thing, I converted a Precision to a 5 string, and the existing pickup worked great.
I ended up winding a humbucker. I took a few pics of the process.
Flat work, bobbin creation, etc.
Made a new cover, routed the pickup area, and wound the coils. 4500 winds each.
The wax bath.
And installed.
I may start using this humbucker design going forward. It's a bit of a pain - twice as much work, but no hum, and they sound almost as good as the single coil.
