Winter Build Off 2019- Guyadanelectrotone LG-200B

With life and weather getting in the way of bass building I have been able to do a little R&D.
I had been thinking of doing a white masonite pickguard fo this one like some old Danelectros have but I really like the look of the black and tortoise shell Guyatone.
After intensive searching on the intertubes I found a place that not only sells tortoiseshell wallpaper but also sells 12"×24" samples which are just the right size to be glued on a piece of masonite to make a pickguard that mashes up the tort pickguard of the original with the cheap and cheesy aesthetic of the Danelectro.

Now if they only did a 24"x24" sample I could do the entire body.

Standard Dano sized pickups. I have had them in the pickup box for a few years can't recall exactly where I got them. Probably off of Ebay. Maybe Bezdez.

Lipsticks can be found at Amazon, ebay, GFS, probably other places as well.

Finally time and the weather cooperated and I could get back to work. Not much time since I had to clean up after three days of heavy winds but I did rough cut an MDF template.
