Winter Build Off 2022 - Renewal/Rebirth

Here is one that may fit in this Winter Build Off – 2022. It is about 2/3rds done so I am going to try and put it in the Partial Build Category (I have built it from scratch). This build is about 2/3rds done. I plan to post some build pics a few at a time. Here is the beginning wood, the body glue-up, the cavity routing, and body shape cutout. The body layers are Maple/Wenge/Maple/Mahogany. There is also a shot of where it currently stands. There was lots of stuff in between and lot more to go.

The shape is PRS inspired. I drew the plans from a combination of hand drawing and cut and paste. It will be a 34" scale. It will have EMG PJX base BQC active system pickups.

I am also building a 6-string guitar with a very similar look at the same time. I think they will make a great pair.

I just want to take a minute and say, this is an amazing community. We are basically 24 hours in and we have a huge number of participants ranging across all kinds of cool design ideas. It's incredibly refreshing to see so many people doing their own thing and owning it. And there's so much support and encouragement. None of the other online instrument building communities I am a part of have anything even close to this combination of participation, creativity, and positive attitude.

Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed? I haven't even subscribed to half the build threads I want, and I'm already drowning in all the notifications and all the interesting stuff to read up. I feel like a child with too much candy.
:drool::hyper::confused::wideyed::laugh:
I usually subscribe to all of them, and then drop out of one or two that I loose interest…
It is a lot of notifications and I usually wait a while so I'm not reading just one post of that thread.
