Winter Build Off 2022 - Renewal/Rebirth

Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed? I haven't even subscribed to half the build threads I want, and I'm already drowning in all the notifications and all the interesting stuff to read up. I feel like a child with too much candy.
:drool::hyper::confused::wideyed::laugh:
Yes, I subscribed to a thread right before I found this thread. I'll drop in on the builds periodically, but subscribing to all will wreak havoc on my ADD. :laugh:

I just want to take a minute and say, this is an amazing community. We are basically 24 hours in and we have a huge number of participants ranging across all kinds of cool design ideas. It's incredibly refreshing to see so many people doing their own thing and owning it. And there's so much support and encouragement. None of the other online instrument building communities I am a part of have anything even close to this combination of participation, creativity, and positive attitude.
Quoted for emphasis. :thumbsup: I've been a part of, and lurked in a lot of online communities over the years, especially luthiery and bass guitars, and I have to agree. There's nothing like it anywhere. We have no one to blame but ourselves. :woot:

As a first time builder, I've decided I should take notes on what everyone else is doing. There's no way I'm going to remember all of this
Ermagerd yes. That's why I made a project tracking spreadsheet. :bookworm: It's also why there is a master list with links in the first post, which will be kept up to date with all build off entries. I find these builder entry lists to be gold for years afterwards. :greedy:

Yeah, but you didn't break it down by build category, so we have to shun you. :roflmao:

Seriously tho, I refer back to those lists from past build-offs as well. So thanks for keeping that current. :cool:

I will probably still do that. I contemplated doing it right off the bat, but then I thought, what if there is only one entry in each category? Or none in one of them? Thankfully I significantly underestimated this community. :thumbsup:

You totally could have listed @RichterScale as the only build in his category for a few hours, just to pump his self esteem. The forums would have been LIT! :roflmao: :laugh: :roflmao:
