The last few years have been challenging with nearly a generation of our family aging and dying off.
Unfortunately, we learned of another cousin who passed just yesterday.
He was a selfless person who served others tirelessly.
As a high school teacher he paid college tuition for many students who would have not gone without his help.
After he retired he would adopt an older couple going through health issues and help an older gentleman with shaving, bathing or taking them to the doctor.
A great Christian man, he was also a Gideon and handed out untold numbers of Bibles.
He dedicated his whole life to serving others.
My wife and I were very close to him. We will miss him terribly.
I dedicate this build to him.

I'm hoping this bass will serve me for many years with great tone in memory of my cousin.
This will be a partial build because I am pretty busy running my business and want to get this done in my lifetime.
I have this neck which is one of the best ones I've run into in a long time. It's a MIM Fender Precision. Very stable and fat profile, which I really like.
Also I have this large pile of wood I have re-sawed. Some is Walnut from my Sister's place in Arkansas, some Maple from a tree my Dad grew, and I also want to put a Purple heart streak in it. I favor a Precision but I only have one 4 string Jazz bass so I may go that route.
Not sure what I'm doing more than declaring intentions!
