Winter Build off 2022 Wally Maple Nut

Last year I did my first build. I loved the experience. So I'm doing a new build based off all I have learned, liked and didn't like in my first build.
All of this wood is wood that I harvested myself.
I had a few maple and Walnut trees that I took down a few years ago. I had it quartered / milled. And paid to get kiln dried.
The body is Walnut wings and maple core. About 1 3/4 thick. Top wing 26" and core ans other wing 21"

Neck is 2 piece maple and the scarf joint is walnut maple walnut.

Fretboard is a funky cut of silver maple. It has all kinds of blues, grey's, and pinks.

Electronics: (On the way) I was going with Nordstrand fat stacks and a passive wiring harness.

Hardware (also on the way) Hipshot ultralights tuning machines, and Hipshot B style bridge.

Any input is welcome.

Looks like a cool project. Don't forget to include the "Renewal all over again" paper with the starting pic to officially enter the buildoff.

I think there is something very rewarding about building something from the wood you harvested yourself.

Most of us just took a piece of paper and hand wrote the secret password. Do that... Put the wood back in a pile.... Include the piece of paper and take another picture. It's the WBO way of knowing what was done before you entered.

Second, that's not quite what we mean. The point is to prove that the picture wasn't taken before the WBO started. Having a physical sign photographed with the wood pile proves the shot is new because nobody knew the pass phrase before the start of the WBO. Editing a photo doesn't prove or disprove timing.

I also forgot to put my first build.
33" scale. Walnut, maple body. Walnut maple 3 piece neck. Fret board is compressiond figured cherry. Pickups is a Bill Lawrence EB60.

After a long week of 3d animation and staring computer screens. I was to get some to work on the neck. I did take it out to the belt sander and just make sure the top and back are square.
Any input is welcome.

Did the 12" radius on the maple fret board. Then I got ambitious and did a 12" radius on this figured black walnut. Used a face mask. Walnut will kill ya.

Hand rough shaping the neck. My family
loves the the sound of the rasp.

Finished rough shaping the neck profile. I'll refine ans clean up tonight.

I did some hand sanding on the profile of the neck.
I discovered that a line of Ray fleck goes all the way up the neck. Sadly it is on left side of the profile.
I hope these pictures are good enough.

Question: should I put in carbon rods in the neck?
Is it a better safe than sorry option?

Based on the knowledge I've gathered from the LC so far, I'd say that if the neck lumber was kiln dried and hasn't moved at all since carving it, there's a good chance it will remain stable and won't need CF support. It wouldn't hurt to add it, but it won't do much in the way of preventing twist, which I feel is the most likely movement you'd experience over time, if any.
Considering the FB is silver maple and a little on the softer side, relative to woods generally used, it won't offer as much stiffness and support. So, if it were me, I might add a couple CF rods for some support against string tension. Or maybe just some CF TOW and resin in the bottom of the truss channel. But nothing too crazy that makes it hard to adjust with the truss rod.
Someone like @Bruce Johnson would be able to give better advice and direction on this, than me.
