These are pretty cool looking. I'm curious how much it effects the tone, and if there's any neck-dive? I'm really looking forward to some demo videos of these.

... Especially these ones...

Is it just me, or is the one on the left shorter (like a short scale)? I realize they're at two different heights, but the difference in height from the bottom of the bodies seems shorter than the difference in height from the neck hooks. It could be the angle, but it wouldn't surprise me if the one on the left was a couple of inches shorter as well.

Refreshing to see dual P Pickups in a Reverse P configuration... Why it hasn't become the standard for P pickups, I'll never know.

Has anyone asked Tech21 if there's anyway the two preamps/outputs can be blended into one through the unit itself, by using the Effects Return with the 50/50 switch?

I understand why they haven't responded to the thread about them (it's due to NAMM), but I'm dying to know the answer (and list my RPM while it's still worth anything).

That pic of the purple NG2 gives a better idea of what it looks like vrs the facebook pics due to comparison to the other basses. It has a deeper look than I initially thought. On the other hand, the purple D-bird doesn't quite show as good a detail of the Candy Purple as some of the pics. It is really nice having all the basses together in a pic to show the contrast.

Well, in my case, yesterday it meant eating one of those jalapeno chicken hoagies from one of the food trucks in the corner of the convention, and crop dusting the halls with spicy clouds of death all afternoon. Sorry NAMM goers, I'll refrain from eating one of those today...

I think the origin was from the old bass mailing list "The Bottom Line." This list pre-dates internet forums (internet was barely alive, even), and was in the early-mid 90's. I know I recall the first time I saw the term on there, and think it was the first time it was used anywhere.
