Well, in my case, yesterday it meant eating one of those jalapeno chicken hoagies from one of the food trucks in the corner of the convention, and crop dusting the halls with spicy clouds of death all afternoon. Sorry NAMM goers, I'll refrain from eating one of those today...

Thanks for the Wayne Jones pics. I've really been wanting to try out their amps/cabinets but I didn't recognize this one...

I know most of his stuff is built natively in stereo but I've never seen that thing before. I just looked it up and it's his new
WJBPII twin channel pre-amp.

Also thanks for showing the Vigier booth. Did you happen to notice if they had any of their fretless bass models with the metal fretboards on display?

Is it just me, or is the one on the left shorter (like a short scale)? I realize they're at two different heights, but the difference in height from the bottom of the bodies seems shorter than the difference in height from the neck hooks. It could be the angle, but it wouldn't surprise me if the one on the left was a couple of inches shorter as well.

The 4-string fan-fret model has scale lengths of 33.5-34.5.
The 5-string is 34-35.5.
The 6-string is 33.5-35.5.

Has anyone had a chance to play the SR semi-hollowbodies? The SRH models, not the anniversary SR30TH models. How do they balance on a strap? What's the tone like?

Also, can anyone comment on the tone of the open strings on the BTBs with the zero fret? Do the open strings sound more like their fretted counterparts?

Finally, did the Maruszczyk booth have the Mensinger Cazpar (that's the 30-inch model)? Can you share any impressions of it?

Whew, I feel like I just unloaded a Mack truck full of pics and in the Ibanez section something caught my eye. The Thundercat looks like it's going to be available so I showed my wife and asked, can I ?
She got all Meatloaf-y on me and said "I'll do anything for love but......

I seriously doubt I'll get a chance to play one of those Ibanez's. Like Wintremute pointed out, the Ibby booth is always one of the most crowded in the hall, none of the amps are ever open.

Great job!!! I've never been to a guitar show. Are these shows crowded that you barely have any room to peek a close look?

From the pictures it doesn't seem all that crowded but the number of companies with booths tell me that a lot of people probably visit.

Anyway, great job! Almost like virutal shopping!!

I'm starting this thread now, so that if I want to add a quick picture from my phone the thread is up and ready. I don't remember if they offer free wi-fi at NAMM, or if I'll even have a signal, so that may not really be an option.

Tomorrow night (it's still Wed night for me right now) I will be downloading all of my pictures to my laptop, sorting through them, and then uploading them into this thread. Stay Tuned!
