NAMM officially starts tomorrow, but I got in early to get ready and hang out and meet people. My thanks once again to Mike Lull and @TonyP- for getting me in this year.

So, there was a little get together at the UVA Bar in Downtown Disney. Among the suspects:

Tony & Ben Jones News - Bass Musician Mag

Tony & Derrick Ogden Derrick Ogden Bio - Zon Guitars

    And I met Nalani.
Nalani Music — Bass and Vocals
    Nalani Music

She was totally down to earth, and ready to talk music, bass, and life.

Guess who just happened to be playing at Downtown Disney tonight? Our very own @BassCliff !

It was great to see Cliff, and I'm going to see him again in a couple of weeks because he'll be playing in Vegas.

So that's it for tonight. I need to get some sleep so I can get ready for tomorrow. LET THE MADNESS BEGIN!

Did @BassCliff at least give you a tour of the Astro van? I'd feel slighted if he didn't.
Looking forward to LOTS of pictures!

    Hi Charles (@wintremute),

Ack! You had to get video of "Wagonwheel"? And I even had a brainfart on the second verse. How am I ever going to live this down? Oh, woe is me.

Great to see you in town! Have fun at NAMM and I'll see you again in about a week and a half. I'm looking forward to your NAMM shenanigans.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

Thanks, @wintremute! Keep them coming! And watch who you're hanging out with...

(so as not to ruffle any feathers, comment was directed solely at pics #8 and #9, and I think both know I'm joking... I think...)

Attending NAMM AND catching a KRB/BassCliff show. Doesn't get much better than that!

The man is human after all :D
  12. I like the new 5-string Rics, but I might be tempted to add a pickup cover.

5 string Ric, not new. They have been made for sometime now. Perhaps a new and improved version ?
  16. I've been anxiously awaiting this thread for the last 3 months after so much enjoyment from last years thread.
    Thanks Wintremute!

I bought a brand new one a long time ago (I think it was back in the 80's). I didn't care for it. The strings were way too close together (for *MY* taste). I promptly sold it.

I thought it was great. You talk the talk and walk the walk, you're very talented. It's a place very few of us get to experience, well done.
