Wireless bluetooth

So, I've been discovering all the stuff I can do with bluetooth regarding my old electronics. I have a simple bluetooth receiver that plugs into the aux in of my 1970's Hi-fi systems that allows me to use everything from my wife's laptop to our phones to play music through the stereo, wireless.

And then I got to thinking. I have a pretty expensive Sure UHF wireless system for my Bass that I picked up a few years ago and I'm wondering why that can't be replaced by a cheap (but more effective and battery friendly) bluetooth system. In fact, why couldn't you get a little bluetooth transmitter that plugs into your bass (and uses a pancake battery) and is almost invisible, and then use any brand of receiver to attach to your pa/effects box?

Is there some limiting factor that I'm not aware of? I figure if it was as simple as I think, every brand would be offering it by now.

And while we're at it, why not wi-fi for industrial strength...

BTW, a related advantage - Anywhere there is a bluetooth receiver, connect your bass transmitter and away you go. I was in costco once and they had a bluetooth stereo on display. I connected my bluetooth phone and was able to walk a LONG ways away before it started cutting out. And a lot of people were wondering why they were playing Trick of the Tail on the Costco stereo.

My bluetooth earpiece works up to 50'- 80' from my phone, but won't go straight thru my body- I guess I'm dense?

Did a search and ended up here. I was wondering if there was any bluetooth transmitter made to plug into your bass so you can use your bluetooth speaker as a practice amp.
Anyone hear of something in the pipeline, or available now?

32 ms is way noticeable.

Agree. 6ms is unacceptable trying to lay down a track. Feels like delay. Just a waste of effort.

When you are laying tracks, where you stand in relation to your cab matters not. And it also doesn't matter on a gig where everyone goes through the board.

And I agree with you. I'm getting to the point where I can't take it live, either. Stand 6 ft away and 6 ms becomes 12.
