Wireless System for Bass

you will get more of a rise out of the scalloped question in the bass section.

Honestly they may be cheap and seem affordable, but you get what you pay for. The 2 best wireless systems i have used to date is EV re2 or RE1 and the Sennheiser 100s 300s or 500s, they are all great sennheiser is a little more becuase you get a nice cast bodypack, but the Ev re1 comes with a cast 1 as well.

i think the RE2 is under $600 somewhere, very good bang for your buck. has an abs bodypack.

AKG wms 40 is also good if your still not sure you want to dive into wireless.

Samson is much better than Nady by far. Nadys compress your sound way too much. Samsons sound just like the cord. The EV and Sennheiser are nice units, but if you're on a budget, the Samson is the way to go.

Hi I wanna ask for advice.. which one is a better brand for bass wireless systems? Samson or Nady? and one more thing, anybody here using a scalloped bass? I'm planning to hve mine scalloped--billy sheehan style.. what are your comments on this? thanks! email [email protected]

I had a Samson and it sucked. Noisy as hell... A watse of money! Then I got a Sennheiser eW172G2. Beautiful, quiet, good tone, reliable and long range. More $$$ but worth it. I scored it on eBay for $350 new...

I fixed a cheap Nady for a guitar player and decided to try it at a practice. It had great range. The receiver was in the basement and I went up to the ground floor and walked around a fairly large house with no loss of signal.

Unfortunately, there was also almost no bass. Take a cheap AM radio speaker and run your bass amp through it. That's what it sounded like.

I bet the guitar sounded bad through it too.

So I turned it off and went back to a cable.
