    So...
I'm upgrading a Carvin B50 with a Noll TCM2 (2 band pre) and using Alpha pots.
The Noll website has this diagram:

I just don't quite understand the way "Balance" control is shown. The Alpha blend (or balance) looks like this:

So, which lug (lugs) should that pale grey wire be connected to? Any thoughts?

    Cheers.

  2. That diagram shows a very unusual and nonstandard part. The part that you have is much more common, and is wired like this:

Yeah, I've seen that at StewMac website before, which is confusing in its own way - is the criss-cross wiring connects "1" to "6" and "3" to "4" or all of the four contacts interconnected?

  4. 1 and 6 do not connect to 3 and 4.

To understand blend pot wiring, it helps to remember that a blend pot is simply two volume pots on the same shaft. One of them must be backwards, however, and hence, there is a criss-cross connection of wires.

Ok, last thing - if I use this very wiring type should source A be bridge PU and source B - neck? Knob turned all the way to "0" - I want it to be bridge, and "10" - neck.
