wiring advice needed (Teisco)

Hello friends:
I have an old Teisco (I think, no name on the headstone) which had some dodgy wiring on it.
I'm replacing all the wiring and the two switches. It has two single coils (disguised as humbuckers), two switches to turn each pickup on and off, a volume pot, and a tone pot.
I bought two new slide switches (DPDT) and a new input. I've never really wired this kind of switch before.
Can anyone help me out with a diagram for this kind of bass? I want to wire it in series.
 
It's doable, but with just two slide switches, you can have neck pickup only, bridge pickup only, both pickups in series, or both pickups off (basically a killswitch). You don't need DPDT switches for this, two SPST switches will do the job. Note that for this to work, the pickup is switched off by shorting it out.

As for a "Kill Switch" im not sure its needed, turn the Volume down to 0 then its going Direct to ground.
Also if you wanted you can get a PUSH PULL Switch on the TONE/Volume controls meaning you wouldnt need any NEW SWITCHING as it will be on the Tone/Volume
 
There are few different types of DPDT switches (On-On/On-Off) (On-On-On) and (On-Off-On)
tho the (On-On-On) and (On-Off-On) are more DP3T|

The DPDT (On-On-On) can be used to select 2 Pick ups
With the Middle location Being Both Pick ups

DPDT (On-On) or (On-Off-On) can be used as a Coil Flip if you want to have a Out of Phase feel to it

DPDT (On-On-On)
There is two sides of this switch, So Call this Switch A and name the Legs 1 2 3 4 5 6 in a clock wise way, also when in the middle state two ends are still connected to Legs 2 and 5.

NECK going to the Output

Leg 2 go to the Tail End of the NECK Pickup and Leg 5 the Output of the Coil Flip on the BRIDGE. Leg 1 (this is the one that isnt active when in the middle state) to GROUND. Leg 3 loops around to the other side of the switch (This is the leg that is active when in the middle state) and connects to Leg 4 (This is the other side of the switch, the one that isnt active when in the middle state) leaving Leg 6 (Active when in the middle state) going to the Output.

The BRIDGE using a DPDT On-Off-On switch as a coil switch,legs 1 and 4 Connected and going to GROUND, and legs 3 and 6 going to the DPDT (On-On-On) Leg 5 Switch. Each side of the Pickup of the BRIDGE is connected to the Middle Legs 2 and 5.

I have a guitar from this era. The wiring is simple: pickup hot lead to switch, switch to volume & tone. Common ground. The only reason DPDT switches were used was that they made one switch to do everything for all models of their guitars, and simply did not use the unnecessary lugs for simple pickup on-off. Since the switches were DPDT, I tried all the wiring options: single, both series, both parallel, out-of-phase, etc. I always came back to the stock wiring as most useful.
