Wiring Diagram for Jazz Parallel/Series Config

done this mod with dimarzio model j's but used a mini switch rather than a push/pull. LOVE IT...BUT....i have a noticeable buzzz.....i put the switch in the pickguard but grounded the chasis....better but still getting high frequncy buzz UNTIL i touch the switch lever itself. any ideas? really want to continue using this configuration so any help appreciated.

Hmm, where in the pickguard, and what bass? Can you post a photo of your wiring?

Here's a thought:

If the Model Js are like the Sadowskys I have, they have red, green, and gray wires. The reds are the pickup positive leads, the greens are the pickup negative leads, and the gray are pickup grounds.

If the Js are like that, then the gray wires should go to a common grounding point and only the green wire of the neck pickup should go to the switch.

Otherwise you can get noise when the circuit is in series.

I'd like to add a series parallel switch for just the P (with J cut out completely not just volume cut down) and be able to also run series parallel with the P and J with a blend option. J alone would also be a nice thought, but I don't think it would get used much. Thinking also about eliminating the tone knob and just wiring it straight, since I always seem to just have that full on.

Can someone help me select the right hardware for this application and point me in the direction of a wiring diragram that would fit this application?

...So are those wires leading in to the tone knob supposed to be the Switch?...or is it that little black thing!

and how do you wire the Tone to the switch for series?

Points A through F in the diagram are the switch points. The black rectangle in the diagram is most likely a capacitor (0.047mFd seems to be popular).
