Hi there. I use 18 V power on my S.Duncan onboard peramp. Mine is a pretty old model, but I don't think it matters any at all. The 18 V power supply gives a lot more headroom and clarity to the sound before the signal starts to distort. Wiring is pretty strait forward. take two 9V bateries and connect + from the first one to LIVE (usually re wire of the preamp), the black wire of the firdt batery - to the red wire + of the second batery and the - black of the second batery to the ground.
In short terms, let's call batteries A and B.
A+ is HOT ( possitive)
A- to B +
B- to GROUND
Good luck and let us know hoe it works for you
