Wiring EMG GZR PJ set to side output jack

Stupid question but I just ordered a set of GZR PJs for my Schecter Model T and realized it has its output on the side.. would it be OK to wire the output to the jack that’s already installed? I was planning on keep the rest of the solderless system intact.
Anyone else done this?
Good thing I have a Weller station lol

Sweet. I figured it would be that easy.
You know what I just realized is that the stock pickups in my bass are EMG PJs with their proprietary BTC preamp & may actually be solderless as well. That would make things even easier- will have to look that up

Hey man! If your existing EMG’s are active then the volume pots are 25k they won’t work with the GZR’s since they are passive.

Also you may need to add a bridge ground, check to see if you have one already.

Yeah, no problem, I did the same thing with my JBS, cut the plug off and soldered directly to the sidejack. However, if your existing EMG set is plug n play, you’re probably all set already.

Is there a balance control in the system, and if so, do the pickups go straight to that? If so, it probably takes both active and passive. Everything past that balance control needs to be valued for active. There is a real good chance you can just swap the pickups.

Yeah I don’t think the connector tips were even the same for the GZRs and the stock BTC that I pulled. The stock ends had three holes & the GZRs two.
