I had previously created a thread that was trying to wire up 4 humbucker pickups into a 6 position multi-pole rotary switch. It was quickly pointed out that this was not practical and the positions I was hoping for might be impossible. Thread can be found here.
So this is my reformed idea.
Four humbucker pickups, with each 4-wire pickup having an on-on-on switch for series-single coil-parallel.
I would like to have a volume pot for each pickup so that when 2 or more pickups are blended, I can even out any volume differences between the pickups.
This will all go into a 4 position switch that will allow for:
1. The two bridge pickups
2. The two bridge pickups in parallel with the two neck pickups
3. The two neck pickups
4. The two bridge pickups in series with the two neck pickups
I'm still researching how to wire up the four position switch, so I thought I'd throw out a line for help here. Attached is a diagram showing graphically what I poorly described above. Any comments and/or pointers would be much appreciated as I am new to this. Thank you.
