Wish.com Epifani?? Joking, but...

I agree that Lincoln Goines' cabs seem to have a similar logo. That video was released in 1996 and Epifani started up in 1994.

I sure haven't seen any others like that! Trying to recall when I got my T-112s but it was about 2000. Great cabs, but I switched to Bergantino after about 2 years because they were a little smaller, lighter and not scooped in the mids.

What happened to Epifani? I remember years ago them being so popular.

They are very much still around but there are so many companies that arrived since then...they are no longer the new kids on the block.

Im not sure if that's real or not but it looks very close to what Lincoln Goines was using back in the day, Maybe this is just a VERY early example, You can catch glimpses of his Epi cabs in this video.

blast from the past... I had the book/CD version of Funkifying the Clave back in the 90s. It was my bible for playing the clave grooves on the traps. Good stuff.

SO GOOD. Love that they run through full songs with Wayne Krantz as well. Overall still very inspiring.
I worked in the basement sheet music dept at a music store and would go upstairs and practice the grooves on an e-drum kit on my breaks. That's one of many music books I loaned out and never got back. Might have to order another copy.

Robby Ameen, man can play! His recent stuff is pretty out there, complex to say the least.

That’s actually my local GC! There’s also a Sam Ash a couple store fronts down as well.
I’m probably making a trip there tomorrow, I can check it out and report back!
My primary cab is an Epifani UL610, so I’ve noticed it there a while ago, I too was not fooled, I didn’t even bother to play it. That GC gets some great stuff in regularly though I guess they can’t all be winners

That would be great! A first-hand account might shed some light.

Got there the the other day and while I didn’t get a chance to put my hands on it. There was a guy playing through it that set up shop with a backing track, he was there the entire time, tried to wait him out but it seemed as though he was going to close out the store. Spent so much time there I ended up falling in love with a Sire M2 5 string Gen 2 and took it home! :bassist:
As far as how it sounded from what I was hearing, bleh! It was pretty dark and woofy, like it wasn’t handling the low end he was pushing into it, had scooped mids and really pingy highs. I believe he was using one of the Markbass heads they have laying around, which could have very well been the head set to a weird EQ, but whatever that cab is doesn’t seem to like that speaker in it.
Wish I could have gotten a closer look but didn’t want to be rude and start crawling over the cab he was playing into

Well, A+ for effort and congrats on your impromptu bass purchase! :bassist:

Thanks for giving it a go -- the mystery lives on!
