I was thinking about Warmoth for a project.

Although their stuff isn't cheap, I've never had any issues with their quality - all great stuff. I've bought and donated a bunch of basses, but the ones I built from Warmoth wood I still have, save one medium scale (turns out huge hands work well with a full scale P neck, not a medium scale skinny neck).

Even though I have all the basses that I need, I wouldn't mind getting a Squier VI. And also a Gibson Grabber, which the bass I dream of.

Chicago Music Exchange had a couple of those, at least the last time I was there.

Lotto? I can easily afford this, just the Geddy Jazz I have fulfills my needs. If I found a deal, though, I would not hesitate to buy.

My never gonna happen but I can dream bass is a stacked pot Jazz in Sherwood Green, with a matching headstock. I don't even know if that exists, but a fella can dream, can't he?

I really have no idea... Wouldn't mind making an inquiry but i highly doubt i have the extra cash anyhow at the moment.

He replied to my email and stated that the Alchemist starts at $3000 and he requires 30% down. He stated that it takes about 4 months for delivery. So I guess that leaves 4 months to come up with the rest of the money.. I don't really have $900 to plunk down on a down payment right now, but I was shocked that it was not more expensive considering the trouble he goes through to build them...

Dang, that's sure pretty. I'll edit my post, but I forgot that black is necessary for the Ripper. Also, def can't afford one right now

I'm looking for something that just plays and sounds very good while also being light.

I went through a number of basses in Guitar Center, and I came to really enjoy the Schecter Stiletto Stealth. The neck felt great, played fast, was extremely light, and the sound was good. Price was good, too.

I was able to do chords without it getting muddy the way it would on my other bass (MIM Jazz, MIM P). That's probably the one I'm looking at now. There are probably nicer, more expensive basses out there, but I'm going through a potential job change and I'm hesitant to plunk down too much.

Plus I'm clumsy as hell, so I keep to cheaper instruments.

Also after a nicer Guild acoustic to replace my old Epiphone AJ-1.
