With or without pickguard

Maybe put it on with double sided tape or rubber cement till you get sick of it and then you can peel it off and enjoy a blank bass... till you get the urge to put it back ;)

And if you order another one get it without screw holes and that should look cool. I think I'd go black pearl if it was mine.
 
Whatever works for you, works for you.

I like pickguards. I think the tort looks fine. I think there are other options that would look good, too. If you like pickguards, maybe get another one with a different color, or two, so you can trade off when you want.

As with anything else, go with what YOU like.
 
Thanks for your responses. I ordered the tortoiseshell pickguard because I've seen it on Fenders (like the Deluxe Active Jazz V in the picture, and the Nashville Tele) and thought it looked good with Candy Apple Red. But this pickguard is a lighter color than the ones on Fenders and doesn't seem to go with the CAR as well. I like the pickguard because I think it is too plain looking without it, but I may go with Pearl White instead.
