Within You Without You combined with Tomorrow Never Knows (Beatles content)

A couple of years ago, my wife and I were in Vegas and we went to see Cirque Du Soleil's "LOVE" show which is a tribute to the Beatles. One section of the soundtrack that struck me as odd is, they took the vocals of George's song "Within You Without You" that was on Sgt Pepper and superimposed those lyrics onto the music of John's song "Tomorrow Never Knows" that was on Revolver. I was surprised to hear how well that combination matched up. Check it out.....

The utilization of tape looping was more of Paul's idea, supposedly inspired by Stockhausen, but I suspect there was an influence a little closer to home, Delia Derbyshire of the BBC, an early pioneer of electronics, looping, and sampling. She was part of an experimental group that performed at the Technicolor Dream, the only time the Beatles' Carnival Of Light was ever heard publicly. Brian Jones and Pink Floyd supposedly consulted with her.
