Wolfgang van Halen a hypocrite ?

I could be mistaken… lord knows it happens every now and then. But didn’t Wolfie first start performing with his dad miming to backing tracks when he first started. I remember seeing rumours of the band doing that when they first reformed with a younger Wolfgang taking over on bass. Is this all a figment of my imagination?

Why would he not have been playing live? He was already an accomplished multi-instrumentalist at that age. People are still saying that he plays to backing tracks. I don't get it.

Wolf admitted Eddie wasn’t the best teacher and asked Eddie to call Paul Gilbert to give him lessons for guitar. However he spent most of his life hanging with Eddie and learned a lot from him.

If you listen to the first tour with Wolf it’s clear he’s playing bass and singing background vocals.
