Women.. I don't understand them

So I was reading this article on Yahoo this morning about Dating Cliques that are true. And while these articles are silly for the most part, it did bring up a valid point that many know to be true...

Women are attracted to men they can't have... (hard to get, bad boys, unproachable, etc.).

So like... my question... once a woman "has" a guy, what is the attraction (besides money, if the guy has any that is).

Maybe this will help...

Yeah, well Yahoo is a known source of goofy articles and info, yes... its nice to read for the comments, but that's about it.

Honesty though, not long ago I met a girl. I was kind of being standoffish because I did not feel well that evening (we were at a mutual friends). She was flirting with me, but I am very cautious about flirting and dating in my older age (if I gave you my life history with women, you'd understand). Anyhow, the girl says, "you are being a real jerk" and giggled. I looked at her, and asked, "I thought women liked jerks". She replied, "yeah... maybe when we are like 19 or 20".

Later on, she's outside on the porch talking on her cell, arguing. She is yelling and screaming at this guy on the phone. I asked her after she hung up, "what was that all about". She said, "it's this guy Ive been seeing on and off.. he's a jerk". I looked at her and asked, "what are you? 19 or 20?". She rolled her eyes and didnt speak the rest of the night.

Woman= nuts

Then why do nice guys who do just that, get shat on so often?

Because they allow it. "Nice guys" is a term often used for guys who lack the confidence to stand up for themselves. It is harder to stand up for yourself against someone you care for than against an enemy or total stranger. Nice guys get walked over by women because they let them.

One can still be kind, compassionate, and respectful without being a simpering wuss.

I use to think that. Nowadays, I don't think that's the case. I think when women say he's a nice guy they don't mean he lacks confidence, but rather he's just too well rounded. I mentioned this in another thread just yesterday - women love a project. They want a guy they can work on and 'fix'. That's partially why they're often attracted to the bad boy or rebel. They think they can change him and make him into the perfect man. However, a guy who's basically perfect in every aspect of his life already needs no work. He's boring. There's no chance or reason to try and change him, and as such a woman is less likely to find him interesting or worth spending time with.

because they did something stupid like love her but never demostrate it. Dude do you think that all we married men are still married because we are rich, handsome and we understand every freaking things that it is in our wives mind? ..no way, we still married because our wives know that nobody will love them as we do. As I said , be sure you woman knows that you love her as nobody else in this crazy planet and when you think you dont understand your woman then close your mouth is the best thing you can do.

As with all things, I think the 'truth' lies somewhere in the middle. I know that I was that "simpering wuss" I described for most of my life. I let people walk on me because I lacked the confidence to assert my right to exist on my own terms. I have worked hard to change my mode of thinking, and it is paying off in terms of interpersonal relationships.

And of course, there are probably situations like what you described. But with my own experience as a guide, I feel that my earlier statement is also accurate.
