Im the OP and still paying attention

Yeah, Joe started this whole project....

I sound like a broken record... but here's the status... keep in mind this is one person working on all this. :)

I'm about finished on the pickups.. I now have all tyhe needed parts, which was what the hold up was. Wal had custom made parts, like injection molded bobbins and custom machined metal parts, but I have duplicated all that with hand made parts.

I got the correct size magnets, exactly like the real thing.

I got backed up on pickup orders lately, but I'm squeezing in working on the first set of Wal clone pickups in between which are going to Joe.

I also also spun this into a newer project which is the Wal bobbins with alnico rod magnets. This will make the pickup lower in profile, since it's pretty tall.

And that has spawned a new project, which is a P bass pickup with one coil for each string with alnico rod magnets.

But I wont start on those until Joe gets his pickups.

The preamp is also under way...

Great to hear that you are still on it! Whats the preamps going to be like? More importantly when? I know im being impatient but forgive my hastiness.

May the force be with you!

This sounds awesome.

I would LOVE to see one of those P-bass pickups when they're finished. :D I've been looking at new pickups for my Precision bass, something that gives it a lot of bite but still holds lows, in addition to a bridge pickup, like a MusicMan.

This sounds pretty sweet!
