It's simple. One in 30 seem to work. When one works for one person, it doesnt necessarily work for another.I found the proper socket in the Craftsman set I bought 20 years ago. I don't know why it's so hard for people to find these "elusive" tools to adjust their RIC necks. You people don't have a Sears or a hardware store nearby?
So far I've purchased three that were recommended (with yet another on the way), including one that said Rickenbacker on the package (it wasn't a Rickenbacker product though), and tried about six others from various places. One worked once, and for some reason now won't fit. The wood maybe swelled a millionth of an inch????
It would be REALLY simple for them to include the wrench like every other bass company does.
And I'm someone who LOVES my Ric. I'm really pissed that I can't enjoy it right now.
