Wondering if I should return my Ric

I've tried Rics in stores on and off for the last 25 years or so. I always come to the same conclusion: they sound just right in someone else's hands.

Except for this one in 1993 or so. That one was perfect and sang in my hands. But I was broke at the time.

Well, I wouldn't say none. The slab top wasn't the bees knees, and the pickup housing for the bridge pup had some sharp edges, buuuuuuut it still sounded and looked great

Get an S model,remove the pickup cover,and install a bezel.
But then you're also probably going to want to replace the bridge tailpiece.....and the pickups are really noisy....
Just Buy a 4004.

Or better yet, have a few ribs removed and get a soft padded forearm glove. Problem solved and probably cheaper!
