wood for dynamics?

hey guys (guess not much girls are here),

i was wondering if one type of wood is better for this bass player or another in terms of DYNAMICS.

in other words/examples:

- let's say a guy usually plays very hard (dynamic wise) - is it better for him to play on a light/heavy/densed/soft wood for the body?

- if a guy is playing usually with a soft touch, does walnut/poplar/basswood/mahogony wood based body better for him to make his sound clearer?

thanks.

wood and construction play equal parts in the dynamics and tone of a bass. A bolt on will act dynamically, a lot different than a neck through, or a set neck. So the construction method needs to be taken into equal account.

As for clarity, this is dictated more by the pick-ups and electronics IMNSHO.

All aspects of the instrument have to be taken into account to "Attempt" to define how it will react under different playing conditions.
