Wood Type

Hi All,

Just wondering if you could give me some insight into how differet wood types affect bass sound. What's the difference between the maple and rosewood sound? What other type of wood is out there in terms of bass bodies?

Also, keep in mind that various types of construction can affect tone, too. Certain pickups can color the sound so much that lumber choices become almost arbitrary.
