Strange concept in my world. 
It doesn't jive with me either, but I recognize there are generational differences between myself and others who post here.

I wish the word count would exclude any quoted words. I don't care how many words someone else typed. I want to know how many words I typed. Although to be fair, I don't really care how many words I typed either, but it's a harm-free source of fun for times when I get mega verbose and can gasp at how many words I used. 
It’s a side effect of a different add-on installed today. I’m pretty sure it can be disabled. The addon adds a bunch of new bb codes
Is thus part of the automatic insert TL;DR function that pairs with the AI powered OSS (one sentence summary) upgrade?
