world's largest pedal board

Call me ADD but I couldn't wait- was there a single pedal board w/142 boxes on it? If not, then it's not 'a board', it's 'a collection'. Big deal- I'm sure there are a number of TBers w/more pedals than that, as well as 1 or 2 w/a larger board.

I wouldn't even call it a collection, more of an "assemblage". It looked to be ten or eleven boards, some pedals owned by the guy demoing it, some by his partner, some borrowed from friends, some they were putting up for auction and another pedalboard still coming in borrowed from someone else.

Sorry, but I'm not too impressed....

One! I love that rack for pedal storage! That's prefect, where'd you find that or is it something you made yourself?

Yeah that was a little misleading. When I saw Pedaltrain's banner, I thought "Oh cool, they made a ridiculously long pedal board" and then I saw like ten of them in a circle. Honestly, it wasn't very impressive. He didn't even use a lot of them in the video, just overdrive.

This has been posted before... I can't remember what thread we had talked about it in, though. It was largely bashed for its complete disregard of common sense, and that it was a guitarist's collection.

While it SHOULD be an effect aficionado's dream, it has manifested itself into a horrible nightmare... :D

:D:D:D

yeah, it would've been much much cooler if pedaltrain designed some galactus-sized pedal board for the event.

here's a blog that is run by the guys behind the idea: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

i'll go and see if i can send them an email with this suggestion for next year. :D

'Hi All at Gear Trap,

I brought up your video of the world's largest pedalboard as a thread on TalkBass. Some members were disappointed to see that the rig was in fact several pedalboards. While I personally think the feat was cool--in the category of "doing things just because we thought it would be fun to do" vein--I also think the suggestion of having a custom built, ridiculously sized pedal board, possibly provided by one or several of the sponsors, would be even more awesome. Then you could have the Undisputed Champion Pedalboard of the World! :D

Thanks,
Brad'

this is what i do when i haven't slept in 24 hours! :hyper:
