Worried about my bass (temperature swings)

A company called Oasis makes really cool humidifiers. What's great about them is that they keep the RH in the bass case right around 50%.

You have to refill them often with distiller water but its easy enough.

The acoustic is most at risk in these situations. Humidity swings will raise/lower the top and THAT will affect action and tone in addition to possibly affecting neck relief. Get a humidifier for that bass and try to keep it at a constant humidity for which it;s properly set up.

All right, Ill look into buying a humidifier (or make it my self) for the acoustic bass.

if you keep your instruments in their cases/bags, the thermal capacity of the case will dramatically reduce any temperature swing... in a fitted case or gig bag i would suspect the guitar is seeing less than 10F swing in a day
