Worship Bass Pedalboards

Currently using the instrument base set. I haven't had any issues with either of my active basses.

@PraiseBassing Well that is encouraging for sure. Have you tried both 9 volt and 18 volt preamps? No static or high pitched screeching noises?
Just 9 volt. I don't have any basses with 18v preamps.

No noise at all with them. I keep the transmitter attached to the strap. Maybe I can mess with it tonight at rehearsal and see if it makes any noise.

Do you know, do these problems only occur when it's plugged in? I have side jacks only, so they won't really get that close to the control cavities.

I've finally got my mini pedalboard completed with what works and a major upgrade in my wireless setup. This will feed my house and pair with my Genzler 350 stack with two of the 10-2 arrays. The Nordstrand Preamp is the best I've played and the Cali76 is the biggest positive difference in tone f any bass gear purchase I've had.

What are they mounted on?

So Ive been in the process of trying new stuff and pretty much overhauling my setup. The only two pedals Im still using are the Keeley super bass (bassist), and the Broughton bass box. Everything else below are new sounds for me.

Sadly, the CabZone LE is not doing it for me with this setup. Ill be posting it in the classifieds, but Im still looking for something to go from the bass box and tie everything together (preferably with a DI). I almost exclusively go DI only. Here are some other options Im considering:

-Broughton HPF/LPF
-MXR M81 Bass Preamp (Thats the one without the drive side)
-Tech 21 Qstrip
-Tech 21 VTBass DI
-RNDI

Any thoughts?

These are fantastic! And it has a DI..
I could be persuaded to possibly let it go to someone looking to "tie things together" ;) ;) :smug:

I loved my 5th gear. Do you not like it much?

Like you I am mostly direct these days as well. Yes. The OCSD is a game changer. Especially when using dirt pedals direct. But I decided to downsize myself (not downsize myself, but downsize my gear. Though I should likely ALSO downsize myself). I've got a new bass coming and need to raise some cash. Otherwise I'd hang on to it. I've got mine for sale on Reverb and the EvilBay. I decided to stick with the VT Bass DI, which is also a magnificent beast, but different. Just depends on what you're looking for. When I used the OCSD, I felt that I still needed a preamp with my passive basses, which is why I also used the VT Bass DI with the OCSD.

Ive heard great things! I don't believe I will have enough room for the full version.

I love the 5th gear! Its crazy some of the sounds it gets. It acts as my always on grit that I kick off for more down or gospel influenced tunes.

Honestly, they're not much bigger than a regular size pedal. Definitely smaller than the vtdi.
