New addition to the collection:

Not always true of effects pedal demonstrations on youtube, IME.
It stacks extremely well with the Glowplug. Glowplug is a big fat thing, soul food is gnarly and grindy. Together they sound HUGE. Am I going to use it in church?
I suspect not.
Although, I did try it palm muted with a pick, and got a great sound for 'Strength will Rise', so if that song ever comes up, might use it there.

Also got replacement knobs for the Eden pedals, because I recently did a smaller midweek worship service, only going direct, and only realised at the end that I had the 'enhance' knob (which is a preposterously exaggerated mid-scoop) at 75%. (I'd been practicing slap that afternoon, and forgotten to put 'enhance' back to 0% afterwards). No wonder my sound was so weirdly muffled!

The Eden knobs are beautifully machined, but impossible to see more than a foot away. Found an online retailer in Germany who sells every knob in every colour known to man, and spent 8 quid on a true upgrade!

I think it looks rather good.

No BSF dissing from these quarters...

I love mine. I was specifically looking for a low gain, mild break up OD rather than a fuzz/distortion so the BSF perfectly fits my bill too.

And 100% agree on the Eden knobs. Beautifully made, useless on stage!

My setup (almost):

The tuner is now a G10S wireless. That's the Mono version of the Pedaltrain Nano it's all mounted on.

I really like it, especially in a worship setting where the tone just needs to be good, not "my ideal tone" like in an originals band or "recording-perfect" like in a cover band.

IMO the Morningstar is overkill. I'm getting by just fine with a double footswitch. Although if I was starting from scratch, I'd probably use the DMC Micro hooked up via MIDI so I could have an expression pedal as well.

I've seriously considered rebuilding my board slightly to be this plus my wireless, on a Nano+ sized board:

The problem that I've created is power. In my bigger board, I could bury Voodo labs stuff under the shelf and run small short cables. Now that I only have a couple of things, and one is kind of specialized, it doesn't make since. I like them as is, but I'm curious if any one knows of One Spot like wall warts that have shorter cords. The one is longer than the cord on my fridge!!

You don't need the "one spot" exactly. Jut look at the Ma requirements for the stuff you have there. the one spot is a 9v. center neg. power supply with a ridiculous amount of mA. It's like 1900 or something. If you are just using it for one or two things, find a Roland/Boss, or whatever your local music store caries. That power supply should have the shorter cord for you. I've gotten some pedals that came with a PS and never thought those cords were too long. Just make sure it covers the amp load and you will be good.

Well I got a BDDI V2 to try this weekend, it might kick the tone hammer off the board. I'm so use to playing with an SVT 810 I just miss that sound. On the BDDI I actually do it more like the fender bass man. It's kinda cross between fat tube and bass man but more mids. I'm liking it so far. We will see how the weekend goes with it.

What is that compressor that's next to the Shure wireless? How does that one compare to the other great compressors like the Cali76 you have?

Collaboration Devices The Compressor. So far I like it, but I haven't gigged it yet. Next opportunity is Oct 13th. I'll see how it goes then.

The Cali76 CB is still king on my pedalboards. I am returning The Compressor. A bit noisy. They said they will see what they can do about that. I'd be willing to give it another go if they can fix the hiss.

I'd love to hear how the weekend goes. I have a VTBassDI that I do like, but I'm considering trying a BDDI just for kicks to get more of the SVT-ish tone.

just got done setting up board, super simple board. Tuner, Markbass comp, BDDI V2. using with iem here at home it sounds great. Im sure WL will dig it, and Im 99% sure the FOH will like it, they have told me to roll in my SVT rig.

edit... I had the VTDI for a long time, traded for the programmable one, I didnt like that one. I think I like the BDDI better than both so far

Also, I tried the bass soul food and was actually really stoked when I got it, but I felt like it was too light and i could get the same effect by just rolling off my lows. Maybe it was the bass I was using at the time, I'm not sure. I was also kind of going through a synth phase so I got

Why thank you! I try to cover all the bases.

Also had a look at Source Audio, but got scared. Too computery for my dull wits.

The EHX is possibly too light, especially fingerstyle, but it really comes to life with a pick. It also stacks really well with the Glowplug. The Glowplug is always-on to put a little beef in the signal, but with the EHX engaged that 'beefiness' becomes even more pronounced, as well.

And the Bigshot is two in, one out. I use it for silent tuning (with the mute engaged, it redirects the signal to my tuner), and switching between my two basses: see my profile pic.
The total signal chain is setup so that I have loads of alternatives for getting signal to FOH. Simplest is the DI out from the Eden WTDI: that's my 'clean' signal.

Most complex is two DIs for the FOH to blend. DI 1 is the clean from the Eden WTDI. Signal from the line out goes to my amp. Bottom row of pedals are in the amp effects loop. DI 2 is the amp DI, featuring the effects loop. Soundguy can add salt and pepper to taste, but it's a lot of wiring!

Most of the time I use an amp and the DI out of that, with the Eden as a spare DI if needs be.

Here's my setup for tomorrow. Pretty simple. I like the VTDI, but I'm always looking for new toys. Chronic G.A.S. and all. I had an original BDDI back in the day but never got into it because I felt it was too dark and mid-scooped. Not enough cut or punch. The new one intrigues me. Though in theory I should be able to get the same or similar tones out of the VTDI. These days I'm more into the older classic Ampeg tone anyway.

I love what I've heard of that C4 synth pedal so far. Some crazy sounds to be found. But I'm afraid that's another one of those things I wouldn't have the hours it would require to dig through the computer menus to tweak my sound.

Ya, checked it out when you (I think recommended) it in the other thread. I saw that there's a social media component and you can download patches from other people right inside the app.

NPD!! This is the coveted Charlie Sexton signature dirty boost/ comp. God invented sex so the name is okay for church although I don't prefer it!!

Beta testing tomorrow with the Warwick Corvette bubinga fretless. It's taking the spot of the Wren and Cuff Gold comp just for the sake of trying it out. I love the Gold Comp with the Germanium circuit, and I have the same Germanium section on my other board in the W&C Super Russian. (As I've mentioned it's the same circuit as a certain pink W&C pedal that isn't church appropriate ). Also subbed out the Meatbox (not needed tomorrow) for the chorus for some sparkly Jaco-ful frolicking.
