Octave if you ever need/want a “synthy” tone. Chorus if your an 80’s fan...or maybe for a fretless.

For worship I get more use out of my chorus than I do my octave. To be fair though I do have and use both.

What one "needs" seems to be subjective and environmentally driven. I've honestly yet to play a service that a tuner > comp > preamp combo wouldn't have been more than sufficient. I dominantly use my SD Studio Bass comp and an Alpha Omega Ultra with OD at 9oclock and a Boogie Powerhouse 1000 IR on the DI.
Since your Tonehammer has the OD circuit, that rules out my next suggestion, which would have been a mild OD to punch through a little. Of the pedals you've listed, I'd go for a chorus. If your services rely heavily on acoustic guitar, then having that modulated wash of sound can bring a very 3D feel to things.

I was playing yesterday as a matter of fact, and was wondering if an octave pedal, used conservatively might work to "fake" the low notes you get from the low B string on a 5 string. would definitely be an on-off pedal...

Don't follow trends.... Use any gear, any tools you can to achieve your musical aspirations. There are obvious restrictions, and P&W bands tend to follow the same route as cover bands, but whenever possible, be your own person.

The Zoom B3N there's only one patch I use which I created to add Delay, Reverb, and tremelo.

Currently my church DI uses a REDDI for the past 5 years. Love the sound of it.

Soon to be changes:
-Getting rid of the Korg tuner to swap out with TC Electronics Polytune (comes in this afternoon)
-Adding the EHX MicroSynth for some nice extra tones

Octave. I just changed mine over to the EBS Octabass Blue Label and I'm very satisfied.

Have you tried using the AGS on the Tone Hammer? It sounds "tubey" enough to me.

Not sure if it counts but I can't see using anything other than my helix lt. I have some presets for different amps based on song choice. I had a mesa subway di and loved it but was sick of changing settings between songs. Both went xlr to the board and to the effects return on a gk700rb-ii into a custom 1x15 neo cab with a horn.

I may try my Sadowsky Pre/DI on my board instead of the JDI. Just for fun.
Now that I am set for basses, I need something to do to scratch the itch. I don't want to go fully down the effects rabbit hole, but I think I still have my YYZ and Big Muff pedals somewhere (not so much for church but for the cover band) so we'll see. I'm really not liking my Korg synth and am looking that direction for something potentially new more then effects.

Lol. It took me a long time to put this combination together. Years of buying/trying/selling/swapping stuff before I finally found the right combination for me. The blue one is a Southampton Ictineo. It my new secret sauce. There is a harder-to-find Broughton version as well. The original is called the "Submariner," but I forget who makes that. Makes everything sound stronger and more powerful, and there are incredible tone-shaping capabilities. It's hard to get a bad sound out of it. I read somewhere that someone compared it to a studio console preamp of some kind, but I forget which. I dunno. To me it's just good, pure, clean power. Not an amp-sim of any kind.

Has any of my Worship Brethren ever heard of “Jamboard Pedalboards”. They will build one to your specs and they look phenomenal. I’ve got one like his coming.
