The HX Stomp is invaluable to me. Even if you don't use it to the max, the compression, eq, amp modeling, IRs, even effects like chorus, delay, and reverb are all great on it. Another thing that I really like is the ability to split your signal when using drives so that you don't lose low end. It took me a little while to figure out how to use it but I learned a lot from buying patches and seeing what they did. David Curran, former bassist for elevation who has played for Lauren Daigle and others is getting ready to release his HX stomp patches which I am looking forward to. I have heard him say that the Cali 76 and Noble are his two desert island pedals, so if you wanted to go bare bones that would be the way to go, but if you are looking to use any kind of effects I would hold onto the stomp.

I can attest to this. When I had my ( very much missed) Noble, I ran direct with it, my Cali 76CB and a Korg Pitchblack... nothing else. It was such an easy setup, and sounded simply amazing!

I see you have the HX Stomp set to Coarse tuning. You find that sufficient? I tend to use Strobe mode myself.

I do miss my Noble, but dang, the Arkham is a nice unit too! I would be happy with either, which means, I guess, that I am.

I finally had a Noble experience. My buddy who plays churches also brought his by. It was quiter than my rig he runs tuner-DG Comp-DG B7K and DG Vintage Ultra into a Noble. It sounded great but nothing that made me want to sell a kidney. Frankly, I'm very satisfied with my tone from my Will Lee into my pedalboard. BUT, I REALLY liked the DG Vintage Ultra. DG does all their demos for the Megadeth crowd, and I've never been able to find out if the Vintage Ultra could get the B-15/lightly overdriven SVT sound I was looking for. Well after a bit of playing I'm convinced the Vintage Ultra V2 will replace both my VT bass (B-15) and Tight Drive (SVT pedal) so it's on the list!
