Worst. Bass. Build. Ever.

I'd cut the outer side of the B string part of the bridge off. Then grind the inner part of the B string section off. Then glue the outer part back on for a decent looking and almost imperceptible conversion to 4 string.

Install the fifth string just from the bridge to the end of the body, then you have the perfect thumbrest ;)

THIS!!!

Seriously though, you have no idea how many cars and computers I arsed up over the years learning. But I can rebuild a 351 with my eyes closed and build computers for friends and family to this day.

The lessons you learned in this build will stick with you better and is cheaper than going to some school. Now find some punk bassist who will add some sweet stickers to it and love sticking it to the man!

Keep up the good work!

AAAAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!:roflmao:

THE BRIDGE! THE BRIDGE! YOU USED A 5 STRING BRIDGE! AAAAH HAHAHAHA!:roflmao:

the B string thumb-rest is the answer to making this perfect!!! Overcoming an obstacle is the sign of a great mind.... screw adversity !!

I tried to play it at a gig last night and the input rejected the cable right before we started. Worked great through sound check, then the cable just jumped out of the jack and didn't want to go back in. It felt like there was a spring in there pushing it out...it was awesome!!

Luckily, I had the forethought to bring a backup...Freewood, my latest build (a new MusicMan style build that isn't tested either!! :/ It's the walnut bass that is pictured with OJ earlier in the thread). So much fret buzz!!! Most uncomfortable gig ever. Gotta do some fretwork!!!
