Replace the bridge with a proper one and I could live with that. I'll take function over form any day.

Seriously though, you have no idea how many cars and computers I arsed up over the years learning. But I can rebuild a 351 with my eyes closed and build computers for friends and family to this day.
The lessons you learned in this build will stick with you better and is cheaper than going to some school. Now find some punk bassist who will add some sweet stickers to it and love sticking it to the man!

I think it looks cool. The fact that it isn't "perfectly" beautiful doesn't take away from the fact that you have the skills to do this kind of work. That's pretty cool too!

Awesome job! With my skills, that would have been the most I could ever have hope for doing. You should now collect odds and ends (flea markets, etc.) and nail bits and bobs all over the top. Even bottle caps.

Hmmmm....
I tried to play it at a gig last night and the input rejected the cable right before we started. Worked great through sound check, then the cable just jumped out of the jack and didn't want to go back in. It felt like there was a spring in there pushing it out...it was awesome!!
Luckily, I had the forethought to bring a backup...Freewood, my latest build (a new MusicMan style build that isn't tested either!! :/ It's the walnut bass that is pictured with OJ earlier in the thread). So much fret buzz!!! Most uncomfortable gig ever. Gotta do some fretwork!!!
