Inherited or genetic or fluke of nature since birth, I'd agree. I believe that is called Type 1.Just to clarify: Diabetes is a chronic disease, which by definition is lifelong. However, pre-diabetes does not have to progress to "frank" diabetes with increased activity and weight loss. (It's my profession for the past 20 years and can't tolerate inaccuracy regarding this subject).
Yeah from the interviews and documentary footage i have seen, they hazed him pretty badly, like throwing pie in his face on stage, and it was also during hetfield's alcoholism issues and ulrich was always just ulrich. Plus newsted wanted ti have side projects and metallica wasn't happy about that. All in all i think everyone won on the newsted- trujillo switch.I always thought it was because he was always treated very poorly by the rest of the band. IIRC he mentioned something about being sick of being treated like crap and getting lowballed on his pay.
I don’t think retaining Lemmy would have made them a household name by the end of the decade; they were destined to be a cult act forever, their iconic stuff had already been recorded by 1975(although “Strangeness Quark and Charm” had its moments). It worked out for Lemmy, though.Hawkwind firing Lemmy.
Peter Frampton agreeing (admittedly based on false representation by Stigwood that at least some of The Beatles were committed to the movie) to be in the movie "Sgt. Pepper".
Tommy Bolin joining the James Gang when Joe Walsh left, then joining Deep Purple when Blackmore left. He was a wonderful guitarist, but those two choices pUT him in a place where most fans didn't care for him. Didn't help that lots of folks didn't know the two bands had made the changes. I saw him twice, once with each band, and both times the "where's Joe (Richie)?" noise from the audience was pretty loud.
insists he's never regretted it. i've talked to him. i believe him.Mick Taylor quitting the Stones?
shooting heroin didn't help much, either.Peter Frampton agreeing (admittedly based on false representation by Stigwood that at least some of The Beatles were committed to the movie) to be in the movie "Sgt. Pepper".

How about Terry Reid, who turned down the job as lead singer with Led Zeppelin AND Deep Purple

Yeah..... I went through a period where I read every Beatles bio I could get my hands on some years ago. I'll have to dust off those old books and see which one that little tidbit came from. That was before the factories realized musicians could be a great marketing tool for them...... And keep in mind too... At the time most corporate types thought the Beatles were wildly inappropriate. I mean... Their hair was shaggy and all!... Seriously, Rickenbacker was a bit embarrassed by their association in the early 60's.
word. read about how he got dosed with drugs, etc,He was seriously mentally ill. Diagnosed as schizophrenic. He had also joined a cult and asked the other band members to give all of their money to the cult.
yeah, really a drag about Cozy. Jeff Beck was lucky to be alive after his wreck.Ian MacDonald and Michael Giles quitting King Crimson on their first damn tour of the US. The world and history would be different today if that lineup had continued for a few more years. Poetic justice of a sort when Ian McDonald was fired from frickin' Foreigner.
Cozy Powell, slightly over the legal alcohol limit, chatting on his cellphone while driving along with no seat belt at 104 miles per hour in his Saab 9000 turbo and getting a blowout on the M4 motorway.
Alice Cooper going solo and losing the original lineup. The world and history would be different today if that lineup had continued for a few more years. No, wait that's wrong.
Keith Emerson.

you are so right. he's gone but immortalized on an unforgettable landmark piece of music - Spectrum.Yeh but he (Bolin) cranked on Billy Cobham’s Spectrum album, and I am seeing BC soon because of that. I know, so what...
