Worst Live Performance?

Remembered another bad show - Jerry Jeff Walker in 1976, Amherst MA I think.
Too drunk to play more than three songs, throws his guitar to the ground, kicks over his amp and walks off stage. The band wrapped up the song and left.
After some time passed, they announced the show was over and that everyone should leave, with no refund.

A few...

A band called Cock Robin (I assume that's how you would spell it) that opened for Richard Marx back about 1988. Absolutely the worst 45 minutes of my life, and I have had extensive dental work done so that's saying something. It's not that it wasnt mixed good or anything, you just couldnt understand what they were moaning about. This was one of the few times in my life where if thought being deaf would be a good thing.

The Deftones on the KISS reunion tour at Rupp Arean in Lexington KY. Only marginally better than Cock Robin. Screaming on pitch is not singing...someone needs to tell this guy that.

Metallica / Danzig / Suicidal Tendencies - 1994ish, Ionia Fairgrounds, Ionia MI

I knew it was going to be a bad day when my boys got squeezed hard by the security guard frisking me. PA for the outdoor venue was underpowered and muddy. Suicidal was pretty good, but the crowd couldn't get into them. Danzig was in their decline and sounded horrible. Metallica tried, but the sound was off, the rain was a downer and the setlist was uninspired at a minimum.

Ministry - Dark Side of the Spoon tour

This was a "warm-up" show for their upcoming European tour and it wasn't even luke warm. By this time the band consisted of Al, the hacks he hired to fill in on RevCo stuff after all the good guys left and some of the ugliest gogo dancer ever. The local band hired to open for them dragged a bunch of strippers from the psuedo-topless bar next door and proceeded to bang out 45 minutes of garbage. Apparently they even got on Al's nerves because apparently he almost got on the bus and left - they finally came on stage maybe 90 minutes after the opening band stopped.

KMFDM - Angst tour

I had seen them on the Money tour and it was a pretty good show. Not this time... En Esch was still in the band at this point and I REALLY didn't need to see him on stage in a short kilt (and nothing else - of which he constantly reminded us by lifting it during every song). When they came on stage they started with "Light"... and proceeded to play the rest of the Nihil album in order. By "play", I mean the mics were live but everything else was fake-played to a DAT track. Even the damn drum-pad player was pulling a Milli Vanilli. Just freakin' awful.

Honorable Mention to Extreme on the Extreme III tour when Nuno snapped the neck on what apparently was his favorite guitar and then proceeded to pout for the rest of the show playing horribly.

Ok, it was actually a GOOD gig -Interpol, O2 Academy 2 years ago...but the soundguy was a crackpot - SOOO MUCH SUB IT HURT!!! Seriously, your belly and chest moved CONSTANTLY from the low ****in' keyboards...absolutely killed the gig for me, I actually went to the toilet off to the side for 10-15 mins in the middle for a break from it, it was STILL there but not quite half as bad
