The only bad techniques are techniques that cause injury or prevent you from playing the part. Aside from the slight bend in her right wrist (which isn't even that bent), if what we're hearing is what she's actually playing (because it says "live" but people have been known to lie on the internet), but if what she's playing is what were hearing, then the technique is a successful one because it played the part and isn't an unhealthy position.


Techniques aren't right or wrong. They're just different tools in the toolbox to do different things on the bass.

There’s a local guy with similar left hand technique and he plays fretless P-bass. His intonation is great and he’s a smoking player…rock, blues, country, funky jazz...

Opinions on the overall song aside, I think what she’s playing is fine. I like what I’m hearing out of her WAY more than someone tuned to F0 clicking and clacking their strings against stuff.

I read your post before I watched the video, and my first thought was that you could say that about Khruangbin as well, at least in the beginning.

Funny how similiar the concept of this band is to Khruangbin, and they even have the wigs.
