Worst thing? I've been called into work on my day off...

I usually don't let names affect me, but the few times that they did involved those unkind names being directed at family members or close friends...and then I skip the names and go straight to the sticks and stones.

Don't know if this counts, but my nick name in high school was chino. Some of my good friends still call me that. I'm not Chinese, but I am Asian. Most of my friends were Mexican and I guess they lump all Asians as Chinese.

Being a redhead, I've been called all kinds of stuff. The only times it bothered me was when I was wearing a name tag with my full name on it, and some a$$hat called me "reds" instead of bothering to read. I corrected him very quickly.

In the Marines, I came really close to getting the crap beat out of me by the DIs several times because the names they called us were so ridiculously vile that I'd start laughing which was not allowed, to put it mildly. Anyway, to repeat any of them here would result in a long-term ban.
